Our trip to Whitby began with a long 4-hour drive, but the excitement kept everyone going the whole way there. As soon as we arrived, we were amazed by the huge crashing waves along the coast. The sea was rough and windy, which made the town feel even more dramatic and exciting.
We then walked along the coastline towards the famous Whalebone Arch. The views across the sea were amazing, and we stopped along the way to take lots of group photos and enjoy the scenery. The arch itself was really impressive and made the perfect photo spot.
After that, we headed down into Whitby Harbour, where we watched the boats in the harbour and explored the busy waterfront. We then walked up to the lighthouse, where we could look out across the coastline and see the waves crashing against the shore.
Some of us spent time exploring the town, looking around the little shops and spotting the pirate ship by the harbour, while others headed to the arcades for some games and laughs together. There was plenty to see and do, which made the afternoon really enjoyable for everyone.
Later in the evening, we arrived at our accommodation, unpacked our things, and relaxed after a busy day of walking around Whitby. To finish the day, we went out together for a cheeky pizza, which was the perfect way to end our first day by the coast.

Whitby day 1 was lots of fun, excited for day two!!
